System // Acquire Deploy: Brutalist E-Commerce
Studio brief, no client: design a drop-culture streetwear store with an industrial brutalist identity, a dense archive catalogue that filters instantly, role-gated operations for staff and a checkout that can take payment, then ship it to production hosting within a week.
The test was how far a strict design system (zero radius, monospaced data type, one signal red) can carry a storefront without template components.
Built in 4 days (21 to 24 July 2026, 15 commits) on Next.js 16 App Router, React 19, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS v4, compiled with the OpenNext adapter and deployed as a Cloudflare Worker.
- A design system that sets border-radius to 0 on every element, pairs Space Grotesk headings with JetBrains Mono data in tabular figures, and layers a background-removed model cutout above the ACQUIRE / DEPLOY headline so the type sits behind the figure.
- An archive of 15 SKUs (hoodies, cargos, footwear, tees and a balaclava) with a radio-style filter rail, live per-category counts and stock-aware AVAILABLE / DEPLETED tags, read from Supabase with a static fallback so the catalogue never renders empty.
- Supabase Auth over SSR cookies and an Admin Terminal whose server layout checks profiles.role before rendering.
- A Postgres schema with row-level security on profiles, products and orders, admin-only product writes, and a SECURITY DEFINER trigger that provisions a customer profile on signup.
- A /api/checkout route that creates Razorpay orders in minor currency units, with a demo-mode fallback when no live keys are set.
- A GSAP timeline and ScrollTrigger layer synced to Lenis, plus Motion route transitions.

Zero-Radius Brutalism & Role-Gated Commerce
A four-day studio prototype: a Next.js 16 storefront compiled to a Cloudflare Worker, with a globally enforced 0px radius, a GSAP and Lenis motion layer, a Supabase-backed admin terminal and Razorpay order creation.
Studio prototype: the brand, catalogue and prices are concept data. No customers, sales or traffic figures exist for this build.
Workers
Next.js 16 compiled to a Cloudflare Worker with @opennextjs/cloudflare; the home route is statically prerendered.
3 tables
RLS on profiles, products and orders, with admin-only product writes and a trigger that provisions a customer role on signup.
Server orders
Server-side order creation in minor currency units, a branded checkout modal, and a demo-mode fallback when keys are absent.
15 SKUs
Hoodies, cargos, footwear and tees with a radio-style category rail and live per-category counts.
Brutalist System, Archive Catalogue & Admin Terminal
Design comps for the hero, manifesto and product grid, plus the hero photograph. In the build: the Auth Gateway, the role-gated Admin Terminal (overview, inventory, orders) and the slide-out acquisitions cart with Razorpay checkout.
Studio prototype, not a client launch: no drop has run on it, and no sales, traffic or load figures exist. What it demonstrates is the build: a brutalist storefront, a role-gated admin and Razorpay order creation running on Cloudflare Workers in 4 days.
Payment signature verification, server-side price checks and order persistence are the next build phase.
